Concluding the Teaching Journey at BUCEILS-SHS : Summary, Impression, and Suggestion

I thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching at Bicol University. The warm welcome and the friendly local community made my experience with the SEA-Teacher program incredibly enjoyable. During my teaching practicum at BUCEILS-SHS, my main goal was to enhance my teaching skills and share the knowledge I gained during my studies at the University of Lampung. Additionally, I aimed to gain direct experience in the field of education, allowing me to understand classroom dynamics, the challenges faced by educators, and interactions with students. This teaching practicum provided me with a valuable opportunity to develop teaching skills such as classroom management, lesson planning, understanding students, and effective communication in a classroom environment.

The teaching practicum yielded several positive outcomes, including:

1. Development of teaching skills, including classroom management, lesson planning, and effective communication with students.
2. Increased multicultural experience through interactions with various cultures, languages, and traditions.
3. Broadening career horizons, opening opportunities to work in various educational contexts in the future.

 Of course, teaching practicum abroad also presented several challenges, such as:

1. Differences in curriculum and education systems requiring adjustments in teaching styles, different curricula, and varying teaching demands.
2. Adapting to cultural differences within the school environment.
3. Adjusting teaching to meet the needs of all students.
4. Limited access to technology to support the learning process.

Overall, I have a very good impression of this teaching practicum. During this practicum period, I experienced deep and meaningful positive impacts. Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it's also about significant personal and professional growth. I feel fortunate to have had a supportive and knowledgeable mentor who helped me develop teaching skills and provided valuable insights into the world of education. I also greatly enjoyed interacting with students and witnessing their warm responses. It is deeply satisfying to see how my contributions in the classroom have helped students understand the subject matter.

I also greatly appreciate the cultural diversity I encountered during the Sea Teacher program. It opened my eyes to diverse experiences and worldviews. I feel better prepared to adapt to differences and understand cross-cultural perspectives. The challenges I faced during the practicum also gave me opportunities to test my classroom management skills, communicate effectively, and find creative solutions to complex situations.

Moreover, this practicum strengthened my interest in the field of education, and I feel increasingly motivated to further develop myself in my educational career. I will always carry these positive experiences with me and use the lessons I've learned to continue improving myself and making a greater contribution to the field of education. This practicum has provided a strong foundation for my professional and personal development, and I am very grateful for this opportunity.

The teaching experience I gained has provided a solid foundation for improving my teaching abilities in the future. I hope to continue developing my teaching skills, including more effective classroom management, comprehensive lesson planning, and better assessment methods. This experience has also sharpened my understanding of how to motivate students, respond to their individual needs, and create an inclusive learning environment.

In the long term, I dream of becoming an educator who can positively impact the lives of students around the world. This internship experience has solidified my determination to pursue a career in education, and I am excited and ready to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in my journey as a continually evolving educator.
